XDEEP welcomes LAMAVE into their Exploration Support Program

Diving is a crucial part of LAMAVE’s research to conserve endangered species: from deploying remote underwater video systems (RUVS) and maintaining our nationwide acoustic telemetry network to monitor shark and ray populations, to visual surveys during research expeditions — these underwater data collection methods contribute to the wealth of knowledge that enables us to identify conservation actions for the sustainable management of these species.

XDEEP supports marine conservation in the Philippines by adding LAMAVE to their Exploration Support Program, gearing our team with their state-of-the-art BCD lines — the NX Series Harness and NX Series Ultralight Harness.

XDEEP is an innovative dive gear manufacturer in the European Union that makes technical and recreational scuba diving equipment.

These BCD lines perfectly complement the diving needs of LAMAVE researchers who study the behaviour, distribution, and habitat use of marine megafauna like whale sharks, sharks, and rays in the Philippines. Lightweight, they are perfect for remote field sites where we need to keep gear to a minimum. Their sleek designs keep our team supported while also giving us space to conduct technical work, such as changing acoustic receivers or deploying underwater cameras.

This partnership is in line with the XDEEP Exploration Support Programs' wider goals of breaking barriers and supporting programs that deepen our understanding of the underwater world.
