Dream team Sofia and Jeline’s #ArtandFudforTurtles

Sofia Padilla and Jeline Reyes food and art fundraiser raised 80,801PHP for LAMAVE! The funds supported LAMAVE’s marine turtle stranding, rescue and rehab response efforts across the Philippines. To give you an idea of the impact the total provides food and medicine for a recovering turtle for 19 weeks.


Steph’s online art auction ‘Project Meraki’

Stephanie Tada Loy hosted ‘Project Meraki’, an online auction art fundraiser to raise funds for LAMAVE. Meraki, a word used by modern Greeks is used to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love - putting “something of yourself” into what you're doing. In Stephanie’s case, it was to create art to protect the oceans and she auctioned five paintings featuring key species LAMAVE works with.


Rory and Elliot went the extra mile!

Rory Henson and Elliot Dupree participated in a 103-mile race to help raise funds contributing to marine conservation. The two ran, cycled, and kayaked to support the work and advocacy of #LAMAVE. You guys rock!


Making conservation something to sing about!

“Rony’s Company Call – A Stage Door to Christmas” set the stage for Christmas, with a night of music, dancing, Santa hats and bubbles, all in support of LAMAVE!

The special event, hosted by Jon-Jon Rufino and Rocio Olbes-Ressano was held at the BGC Arts Centre and proceeds were donated to LAMAVE to continue our conservation efforts. The magical night of music and conservation was led by award-winning Musical Director Rony Fortich who brought together performers Bianca Lopez, Felix Rivera, Floyd Tena, Gab Pangilinan and surprise guest Mike Chan. Jen Hardy braved the shave for LAMAVE!

Jen cut off her long locks in aid of a few great causes including LAMAVE. She set up a GoFundMe page to gain donations for our marine conservation efforts. She then donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust to go towards wigs for children who are going through chemo or suffer alopecia from a number of other causes. Nice one Jen!


Anqi used her wildlife trips to make a difference

Anqi Lim, hosted a liveaboard trip to see manta rays and donated a % the trip to support LAMAVE’s research and conservation efforts on manta rays in the Philippines. By doing so she also raised awareness amongst her guests on the threats facing these amazing animals and the actions being taken to safe guard their future survival. Thanks Anqi!
